Measure the plot

The heirs and their shares, in fractions or in area

Three ways

  • I draw it on the satellite map, from home. The imagery shows its date, and earlier years can be compared when trees hide the edge.
  • I have the sides measured with a tape: enter the sides in order, then the diagonals from corner 1, and the app closes the shape.
  • I am on the spot: I walk around it or stop at each corner; at each corner, the app averages the GPS position.

A plot already measured reuses one from the Plots tab. Draw a pond, a well or a house inside the plot: it is left out of the division.

Your units

Acres, hectares, bigha and katha, kanal and marla, guntha, cent, ground, dismil, or a Custom unit, shown together like “4 bigha 15 katha” with Composite display. In South Asia, the sides are given in feet. See Bigha, katha, kanal, marla.
